For the first time ever, the Emmy Awards will be going virtual for obvious reasons, after it was initially planned to take place at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles.
The awards will be hosted by renowned TV host and comedian Jimmy Kimmel, who previously hosted the ceremony in 2012 and also in 2016.
According to Variety, Kimmel will host remotely from a stage inside the Staples Center, which will not have a red carpet or audience due to the coronavirus pandemic.
However, there will be some sort of pre-show in place of the red carpet, which will give viewers the chance to hear from the nominees and Kimmel, find out more about the first-ever virtual awards telecast, and also watch editors give predictions for the winners of the night.
This year’s show will be a completely different experience, and you’ll be able to catch it all live on Astro!
