Astro Radio, Malaysia’s No. 1 radio network for all languages, increased its weekly listenership to more than 16.3 million, according to the latest GfK Radio Audience Measurement Survey (RAM) in Peninsular Malaysia.
ERA has yet again become Malaysia’s top radio brand with over 6.7 million weekly listeners with the number 1 Breakfast show attracting a total of 3.7 million listeners and the Drive Show with 3.5 million listeners.
SINAR, Malaysia’s second most listened-to brand also has over 2.7 million listeners for its Breakfast’s show, while GEGAR retained its leading position with its East Coast reach of 2.1 million weekly listeners.
HITZ also retains its spot as the number one English brand in the country with 3 million weekly listeners, listeners while MIX and LITE are now the second and third ranked English radio stations in the country respectively, both with 1.3 million weekly listeners.
While MY reinforced its stronghold as the leading station amongst its Chinese-speaking fan base by growing its listenership to 2.4 million weekly listeners, MELODY also increased its listenership to 1.7 million. RAAGA on the other hand, continues to be Malaysia’s most loved Tamil radio brand, with its reach of 1.5 million weekly listeners and growing its listenership for both its Breakfast and Drive shows.
Astro Radio also successfully increased its digital footprint with a social media following of 19.5 million, weekly social media reach of 35.4 million, 110 million average monthly video views, 13.8 million monthly digital streams, and monthly website unique visitors of 5.1 million.
