TikTok user, Iman recently shared a video of his niece explaining why she did not receive full marks on a school test.
In the video that has since gone viral shows her test paper which had a 96% written on it, “She got a 96 instead of a 100% because she thought aeroplanes were slow,” reads the text in the video.

In the test paper there were photos of a turtle, tiger, bicycle, police car, snail and an aeroplane, and students had to write whether these animals and transports move cepat (fast) or lambat (slow).
The user’s niece, whose name is Alisha, answered most of the questions correctly except for the aeroplane which she labelled as “lambat” or slow.
When asked by her mother why she thought an aeroplane moves slow, she justified her answer by saying, “Remember when we were flying to Taiping and had to wait for hours for the aeroplane to come?”
Her mother, who couldn’t hold in her laugh, explained that aeroplanes are fast and it’s just the delay which caused them to wait for 4 hours.
“We had a family gathering in Penang in Penang and had to fly from Kuching. I think it’s the trauma from the delayed flight that caused her to think that aeroplanes are slow.
“It was her first delayed flight as well,” Iman explained in the caption.
The video has since garnered over 240,000 views at the time of writing.
Malaysians took to the comment section to share their amusement, “In a way, that’s a pretty smart way of thinking. Keep it up, keep on being curious and asking questions.”
“She should discuss this with the teacher. She is not wrong, there is some sense in her reasoning,” another person commented.
How cute!
