Pulau Daat (Daat Island) which is located halfway between the Sabahan sub-district of Menumbok and the Federal Territory of Labuan, will be up for auction this week, with a price tag of US$27.7 million, which is about RM121,658,400!
Woah!
According to Mashable SEA, the 237.55-hectare island is being offered for sale “as is, where is” following the liquidation of its present owner, Potensi Bernas Sdn Bhd. So, if you think you’ve got the money, you might as well take advantage of the opportunity now!
The island is supposed to be auctioned off on June 30th, last year, however, the auction was rescheduled to September 10th of the same year, with a substantially higher price of US$30.7 million or RM134.8 million.
So we guess if you’re a multi-millionaire… buying the island now would be considered a bargain! Plus, the 999-year lease on the island expires on December 31st, 2853!
