Imagine eating your food at a restaurant and then seeing a rat poking through the food. We’d leave immediately!!
Recently, a video of a rat munching on some fried chicken at a mamak went viral online.

Twitter user, @zoeyhanafiah shared the 17-seconds on his account which has since garnered over 1.3 million views at the time of writing.
In the video, a rat can be seen exploring the restaurant’s fried chicken that is left at the nasi kandar area with other sides and dishes, “In front of our own eyes. No more mamak for us!” his caption reads.
Netizens took to the comment section to share their surprise at how nobody noticed the huge rat! “Good, you have proof. Now report it to the authorities,” one person urged.
While others said they were speechless and opted to make jokes instead: “That’s just Ratatouille checking the food. Leave him alone!"
The viral video has since caught the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) attention who requested for detailed information such as the name and location of the restaurant in the video.
“Please provide us with the information so that we can take action as soon as possible!” they said.
