The video, shared by the PPKI programme at SMK Gurun in Kedah, shows Mr Balakrishnan, a dedicated van driver, gently lifting a student out of his vehicle and placing him in a wheelchair. It was later revealed that he does this every single day—without being asked, and without expecting anything in return.

Teachers at the school confirmed that his actions stem purely from compassion and empathy. No instructions were given to him; it is simply what he chooses to do.

Parents of special needs children and social media users alike were deeply moved by the gesture, flooding the comments section with prayers and kind words.

One user wrote, “Uncle, may your kindness be returned tenfold. I hope your life is filled with good health, happiness, and ease. You are truly a blessing.”

Another commented, “To the young boy, never forget this uncle and your teachers when you grow up and succeed. Thank you, Uncle Bala. May your journey ahead be smooth and joyful.”

Among those touched by the video was Mr Balakrishnan’s own daughter, who proudly left a message of gratitude: “I’m honoured to be Mr Balakrishnan’s daughter. Thank you all for your prayers and kind wishes. May your lives be blessed too.”

Sometimes, it’s the smallest gestures carried out quietly and consistently that leave the biggest mark—and Mr Balakrishnan is a beautiful reminder of that.
