In a video that went viral online, the teenager can be seen riding recklessly and zig-zagging from left to right on the freeway while striking the “superman” pose, unaware that a police car was following closely behind him.

According to Sinar Harian, Kemaman district police chief Superintendent Hanyan Ramlan said the 18-year-old suspect from Bandar Jengka, Pahang was arrested after being seen riding his motorcycle dangerously at around 10:30 am on Saturday (27 August).

Hanyan added that the man was also seen doing the “superman” stunt on his motorcycle for roughly 2km before he became aware of a police patrol car following behind him.

The police officers then ordered the suspect to stop, which he disobeyed and even sped off towards Jabor Toll Plaza.

Police then started a wild chase trying to catch the suspect, however, the young man did a u-turn and sped off against traffic towards Kuantan, Pahang, and then made another u-turn towards the Jabor Toll Plaza.

While trying to get away from police, he then crashed his motorcycle just 50 meters away from the toll plaza. He suffered some minor wounds and was taken into custody.

The case is now being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. Urine tests on the suspect showed that he was not positive for drugs.

Aiyo, this is so careless and not to mention, dangerous! DON'T do this and please drive responsibly, guys! Be safe on the road!
