The issue surfaced during his visit to the Kamunting Ramadan Bazaar on 14th March, when the student seized the moment to voice his frustration about the poor condition of the toilets at SK Long Jaafar.
The unexpected yet light-hearted exchange was captured in a 28-second video, which quickly gained attention online.
This week, Anwar’s political secretary, Muhammad Kamil Abdul Munim, confirmed through a Facebook post that the repairs had been successfully completed. “I have received a follow-up report regarding the complaint made to Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim about the school toilets. The repairs have now been fully completed,” Kamil shared.
He also highlighted Anwar’s dedication to addressing public concerns promptly, noting that the prime minister regularly urges government officials to take swift action on urgent matters affecting the public.
Kamil’s update included a 25-second video featuring a screenshot confirming that the toilets were fully repaired and ready for use as of 16th March.
The student’s bold move not only caught the prime minister’s attention but also ensured better facilities for his schoolmates—proving that sometimes, speaking up really does make a difference.
