Felix recounted the significance of attending the MET Gala, emphasising the honour and excitement they felt representing their group and its unique identity. “It was such a huge honour because it was our first time as a team, and to go with Tommy Hilfiger to the MET Gala.

“Like what Chris [Bang Chan’s birth name] said, it’s such an honour but also a pleasure for us to show what our team colour is like. It was incredible,” Felix said.

The members admitted to feeling nervous about the event, as they were unfamiliar with the MET Gala's proceedings. They were immediately confronted with famous faces upon their arrival.

Bang Chan described the surreal experience: "Because we didn’t know anything about MET Gala! So, we went in, and then as soon as we got in, we walked up the stairs, and then there was Anna Wintour, Bad Bunny, Jennifer Lopez, and Chris Hemsworth."

Fortunately, they encountered friendly individuals, including Marvel actor Chris Hemsworth, who was among the first to greet Stray Kids. Hemsworth recognized Bang Chan and Felix as fellow Australians, which was a delightful surprise for the group.

Bang Chan recalled Hemsworth’s warm welcome: “So we said ‘Hi,’ and then Chris was like, ‘Oh, I know you guys! You guys are two Australians—aww, come here, boys!’”

Hemsworth’s gesture, lifting the members off their feet, made waves in the K-Pop community, although the moment was not captured on camera. Nevertheless, the boys were eager to share the story with their fans.

“He took really great care of us. Baz was there too,” Bang Chan continued, referencing Australian director Baz Luhrmann. Felix also highlighted their pleasant interaction with Luhrmann, famous for directing films like Moulin Rouge! and Elvis.

“Baz Luhrmann was there as well. So, we had a nice chat with him. It was very nice, very nice,” Felix added.

Additionally, the group met several other Australians, including basketball player Ben Simmons. Bang Chan mentioned the notable presence of fellow Aussies at the gala, further enhancing their experience.

“Ben Simmons, the basketball player, who is actually from and born in Australia, he was there. There were a lot,” Bang Chan concluded.
