Reflecting on their first meeting, Seungkwan recalled how Park's warm smile and kind words left a lasting impression. “At the time of SEVENTEEN’s debut, at music shows where most didn’t know us well, he was the one who put on a big smile and initiated a conversation with us. He told us that he liked the song, ‘When I Grow Up.’ Perhaps he meant it as a passing comment on a song he happened to hear. But to us at the time, he was the one sunbae-nim who liked a B-Side track rather than the title track. So, his comment became a source of pride among us throughout our activities.”

Years later, their paths crossed again at the MAMA Awards, where Park's kindness remained unchanged. “At the MAMA Awards, where we met again after a long time, we were taking a group photo after receiving an award. And once again, he came over first, telling us, ‘Congratulations! Let’s take a photo together!’ Almost a decade had passed, but his heartfelt congratulations and smile remained the same.”

Seungkwan’s appreciation extended beyond this gesture, reflecting on the profound impact of the movie "Wonderland." “Thanks to our paths crossing like that, I was invited to the VIP screening of his movie. The theatre was filled with people who loved and supported him, and I was grateful to be a part of it all. As for the movie, I was not expecting to be so touched.”

He shared how the film made him contemplate a world where farewells preserve preciousness while minimising sadness. “After watching Wonderland, I found myself hoping for the first time—for a world like Wonderland to come true. I wondered if such a world could ever exist in the future. What if there could be farewells that preserve the preciousness but minimize sadness? Even if that sounds like a fantasy…”

Seungkwan also expressed his thoughts on how such a world could bring people closer, even through AI. “But instead of grieving alone, what if we could ask about each other’s well-being? About whether or not we’ve had our meals or how we like the weather… What if we could go about our days, but when we wanted to, we could come together for some beer? Even if we couldn’t actually hear the clinking of the glasses, wouldn’t it be great if we could still have that feeling of sharing a drink together?”

He concluded with a heartfelt message of gratitude, reflecting on the warmth and preciousness of human connections. “Because I had the chance to meet such a good, heartwarming sunbae-nim like you, I also had the chance to watch such a good, heartwarming movie. Thank you, @bogummy hyung!”

The post included a poignant picture of Seungkwan with the late ASTRO member Moonbin, which touched CARATs deeply. Fans, realising the emotional significance of the movie for Seungkwan, flooded the comments with love and support.

Seungkwan’s post is a beautiful reminder of the impact of kindness and the shared experiences that connect us all, transcending the boundaries of fame and bringing warmth to our hearts.
