Fast-forward to April 29, when SEVENTEEN, a group under HYBE's subsidiary Pledis Entertainment, dropped their latest album, "17 Is Right Here." Shortly after the release, a netizen shared a video demonstrating what happens when a "dissolvable" photocard is subjected to water.

The clip quickly went viral, eliciting mixed reactions from fans.

Some fans were dismayed by the sight of the photocard dissolving, feeling that it represented a loss of a valuable collectible. Comments like "My heart aches" echoed this sentiment.

However, other netizens came to the defense of the video's creator, arguing that it was their property to do with as they pleased. A typical response was, "It’s their photocard, not yours. Why are you upset?"

The incident highlighted differing opinions on the topic. While some fans view photocards as treasured keepsakes, others see them as disposable, especially when made to be eco-friendly.

The discussion has raised questions about the balance between collectible fandom items and sustainable practices. What do you guys think of this?
