On September 8th, SEVENTEEN took the stage at 2024 Lollapalooza Berlin, making history as the first K-Pop group to headline this prestigious festival.
The moment was monumental, filled with excitement and pride. However, it also carried a bittersweet sentiment, especially for fans of Jeonghan.
As a ’95-liner, Jeonghan’s military enlistment was inevitable, and many fans had hoped he would be able to join in on the group's remaining activities for the year. Unfortunately, it was announced that he would be unable to participate in SEVENTEEN’s upcoming world tour or in the promotions for their planned October release. This made Lollapalooza Berlin his final overseas performance before his enlistment—a fact that Jeonghan himself confirmed during their departure at the airport.
The airport was filled with both excitement and a touch of sadness as SEVENTEEN made their way to Berlin. Fans couldn’t help but notice how affectionate the members were towards Jeonghan—holding his hands, hugging him, and staying close to him. It was clear that this was not just any performance, but a special send-off for a beloved member.
The warmth and love shown by his fellow members, as well as the emotional reactions from fans, made this performance even more meaningful. While there is sadness about Jeonghan stepping away for a while, there is also deep appreciation for the memories he’s created with SEVENTEEN and their fans over the years.
As Jeonghan prepares to serve his country, we wish him nothing but the best. May his service be safe and fulfilling, and may he return healthy and well, ready to reunite with his members.
We look forward to seeing him back on stage, creating new music, touring, and performing with SEVENTEEN again!
