She found out on 2 September 2025 that RM98.60 from her account was gone, even though she had not made any transactions. The incident came to light after she was alerted about suspicious activity linked to her Identification Card, which she had previously lost in Sabah.
CCTV footage shared online showed a woman in a pink sweater using the stolen IC at a supermarket. The individual was seen purchasing two trays of 30 eggs and two packets of rice. A receipt confirmed the total spent amounted to RM98.60, charged under a MYKASIH 5272 account.
The clip and receipt quickly spread on social media, sparking anger among netizens. Some pointed out that such cases are allegedly common in Tawau.
Others urged the authorities to ensure that old ICs are disabled once a new one is issued to prevent misuse.

If you ever find yourself in this situation, make sure to lodge a police report immediately, inform the National Registration Department (JPN) about your lost IC, and report the fraudulent transaction to the relevant aid provider. This will help protect your identity and prevent further misuse of your account.
