On Sunday (June 26th), a pillion rider literally cheated death when a basketball-sized coconut fell on her head at Jalan Teluk Kumbar in Pulau Pinang.

In the 28-second video that was shared on Penang Kini’s Facebook page shows the motorcycle heading towards Georgetown from Teluk Kumbur when the coconut fell on the woman’s head.
The woman was then seen falling from the motorcycle when the coconut hit her head as the motorcycle was moving. Ahh, that must’ve hurt so bad!
Luckily, the rider was able to control the motorcycle and immediately stopped at the side of the road. A few bystanders can be seen trying to warn the oncoming vehicles to slow down as the motorcycle rider helped the woman who fell.
In a Facebook post shared by Bayan Lepas assemblyman, Azrul Mahathir Aziz, expressed his sympathy towards the woman, known as Puan Anita, and asked the appropriate agencies to take immediate action on the matter.

Prior to the incident, Azrul said that most of the coconut trees along the road belonged to private owners, and trees that were highly at risk of causing a danger to motorists and the public had been cut down.
“I hope the injuries are not serious,” he said in his post.
That must be so scary for her! We’re glad that she is okay.
