The clip, shared on TikTok by user @brittany.jane93, shows the Malaysian-made sedans outfitted with full police markings, emergency light bars, and other official equipment. The vehicles are believed to now be part of the Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary's operational fleet in Port Moresby.
In the video, the TikTok user, who appears to work at a Perodua dealership in the capital, captioned it with a playful remark about how well the Bezza suits its new role as a patrol vehicle.
The sight of Bezzas overseas, especially in law enforcement use, quickly caught the attention of Malaysian netizens. Many expressed excitement and pride, seeing it as more than just an exported car but as a reflection of Malaysia’s growing automotive capabilities receiving recognition abroad.
This has also been confirmed by Perodua president and CEO Datuk Seri Zainal Abidin Ahmad. He stated that the Bezza has been exported to Papua New Guinea and is now officially being used as a police car.
He added that the model was also featured during the country’s national day celebrations, calling the development something Malaysians can be genuinely proud of.
