Malaysian Newlyweds Ditch Tradition for a Unique Two-Tier Burger Cake at Their Wedding Reception!

In a delightful twist on tradition, a newlywed couple chose to forgo the conventional wedding cake in favour of a two-tier burger cake for their November wedding last year, as reported by Sinar Harian.

Weighing in at 1.5 kilograms, the burger cake was a special request from the groom, whose father, Dzulikhwan Ahmad Mokhtar, a burger vendor from Teluk Pulai, Klang, was more than happy to fulfil his son's wish.

"Wedding cakes don't have to follow tradition," said Dzulikhwan, who, at 50 years old, wanted to make the couple's celebration memorable and unique. The burger cake certainly caught the attention of wedding guests, many of whom were intrigued by the unusual choice.

“Guests were excited to watch the couple cut the burger cake. While some might consider it unconventional, that’s what makes life interesting,” he shared.

Dzulikhwan emphasised that while weddings often feature traditional cakes, what truly matters is that the couple’s choice is meaningful and brings joy to them on their special day.
