Every hostel has some ground rules that must be followed, but there will always be a few who just don’t listen and secretly break the rules, like using your mobile phone when you’re not supposed to.
As a result, teachers or wardens will sometimes conduct spot checks on the students to make sure they don’t keep any prohibited items in the hostels.

A teacher recently did a surprise spot check on his hostel students, and what’s interesting is that he was also doing a TikTok live broadcast while conducting the spot check.
Netizens who were watching the live broadcast revealed their favourite spots to hide prohibited items during surprise spot checks, assisting the teacher.
To make it “easier” for the warden to conduct the spot checks, netizens have shared secret locations that they used to hide their prohibited items like under the bed, in shoes, on the fan, in the mattress, closet crevices and even inside a pillow!
“Try checking the dustbin! Usually students would wrap their phone in plastic and then place it in the bin so it’d look like trash,” one person commented.
“Teacher, try checking their textbooks, sometimes there is one fake book that is used to keep things inside.”
The TikTok video has since garnered over 335,000 views after it was reshared on Twitter.
It has since garnered over 1.1 million views at the time of writing, “You guys are menaces. This is hilarious!” the caption reads.
