They introduced us to Selvem, an Indian migrant worker who emerged as the grand prize winner, taking home a whopping SGD18,888 (RM64,441). The post showcased a heartwarming moment as Selvem fell to his knees, overwhelmed with pure joy.
In an interview with The Straits Times, Selvem revealed that he had never even heard of the popular Korean TV show, relying on his fellow contestants as references for the games. Against all odds, he came out victorious!
"When I found out that I had won, I couldn't believe it. I called my entire family to share the good news," Selvem exclaimed. At first, his wife thought it was a joke until his friend confirmed the incredible win. The whole family celebrated, their hearts filled with joy and tears. This is a moment they will cherish forever.
Selvem, being the sole breadwinner for his extended family, has big plans for the prize money. He intends to use it to build a family home back in India, where he supports 15 family members. Having lost his parents and two brothers, Selvem also takes care of his brothers' widowed wives and their seven children, along with his in-laws.
In addition to securing a stable home, Selvem will allocate the funds for his nephews' and nieces' education, ensuring a brighter future for the next generation.
