M’sian-Born Actress, Michelle Yeoh Expresses Her Gratitude To The King And Queen of Malaysia

Well-deserved! She is an amazing actress!

Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh, a well-known Hollywood actress who was born in Malaysia, expressed her gratitude to the King and Queen of Malaysia, Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and the Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah for their congratulations. 

The Perak-born actress recently made Malaysia proud by taking home the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy Motion Picture yesterday, Wednesday (11 January) in Los Angeles, California. 

She also thanked Malaysians for always supporting her as an actress in Hollywood. 

The 60-year-old actress took to her Instagram account to express her excitement, as well as thanking everyone who sent her well wishes and encouraging messages, including the King and Queen and the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim. 

“Thank you all, thank you for your love. I love you all,” she wrote in her caption.

Malaysians took to the comment section to continue congratulating the actress, highlighting that the Golden Globe Awards is the highest achievement ANY Malaysian has ever made on the world stage, “So proud of you!”

“You make us Malaysians proud! Keep on inspiring us, as well as the new generation.”
