A video that recently went viral has raised concern over what appears to be a new scam tactic on the road, and it was all caught on dashcam.

In the footage, a car is seen reversing, seemingly without any reason, into the vehicle behind it. Rather than admitting fault, the driver steps out and begins accusing the other motorist of tailgating.
“I saw you hitting me,” he claims, even though he was the one who reversed.
The alleged victim stays calm and explains that the entire incident has been recorded on his dashcam. Still, the accuser continues to insist on resolving the matter either through payment or by filing a police report.
Eventually, he tells the victim to pull over to the side, then gets back into his car, bringing the exchange to an abrupt end.
The location of the incident remains unknown, but the situation has sparked debate online about whether such dishonest tactics are becoming more widespread.
One user who commented on the video shared a similar experience: “This happened to me once. The driver’s wife created a huge scene, but a taxi driver who witnessed everything came forward and shut her down.”
With more motorists investing in dashcams these days, it may be the scammers who have something to worry about now.
