Malaysian Man Braves the Heat for 28 Hours to Get 3 Stray Puppies Adopted

Stray animals are becoming more and more common in Malaysia, and sadly, so are the cases of them being poisoned, hurt or even killed by irresponsible individuals. It’s heartbreaking to witness. That’s why stories like this one truly warm our hearts. They remind us that there are still kind souls out there doing what they can to help.

Recently, a man named Francis Poh Chun Tat spent a total of 28 hours under the scorching sun just to help three stray puppies get adopted.

Thank you for the love, care and support🫶🏻✌️

It all started when a neighbour helped him rescue a litter of puppies in their Bukit Tinggi, Klang neighbourhood. Francis, who has been actively managing the stray dog population in his area for years, decided he couldn’t just leave them to fend for themselves. Over time, he has been working to neuter female dogs in his neighbourhood to prevent overpopulation, so this was the first litter he had seen in a long while.

Determined to find them proper homes, he launched his own adoption drive over the weekend. He went the extra mile to make sure everything was done properly. First, he got permission from the management of a nearby commercial area to set up his booth. Then, he rented two parking spots so that visitors could stop by easily without blocking traffic.

He even set up shade, ice packs and portable fans to keep the puppies comfortable in the heat. And while many people came by to see them, Francis didn’t hand them over to just anyone. He made it a point to speak with potential adopters to make sure the pups would be going to loving homes. If something didn’t feel right, he would politely say no. He also refused to accept any money, making it clear that he wasn’t doing this for profit.

By the end of the three-day drive, all three puppies had found forever homes. Two were adopted by a young man, and the last one was taken in by a father and his children.

Francis later posted an update on Facebook thanking everyone for their support, and his post quickly went viral. Thousands of people praised his dedication, kindness and selflessness.

To Francis and everyone out there who goes out of their way to care for animals in need, thank you. Your kindness is truly inspiring.
