Malaysian Highlights Daily Struggle with Double-Parked Cars Blocking Him at Ampang Flat

Double parking is a frustrating issue that many Malaysians face, even in residential areas where parking spaces are limited.

It’s a daily inconvenience that disrupts routines and creates tension among neighbours, as highlighted in a viral TikTok video by @farezadnanofficial.

In his video, Farez shared the struggles he endures nearly every morning as he attempts to leave for work. With cars blocking his own, he posed a rhetorical question to viewers: “You want to live in a flat, right? Are you ready to face this issue every day?”

Farez considered a possible solution—pushing the obstructing car out of the way—but the plan was quickly dismissed. Some vehicles were parked too tightly, while others had their hand brakes engaged, making it impossible to move them.

What about honking to alert the offending drivers? Farez chose to wait an additional 15 minutes before resorting to that option, recognising that it was still early in the morning and not wanting to disturb the entire neighbourhood.

According to Farez, this situation is just a glimpse of the larger problem. He also noted other tactics used to monopolise parking spaces, such as reserving spots with motorcycles or chairs. Expressing his frustration, he remarked, “If I call them the B40 mindset, they wouldn’t like it.”
