M'sian Alerts Other Women to Be Careful as Men Lurk by Parked Cars in Shah Alam, Putting Nails on Bumpers!

It appears that the safety of women in Malaysia, especially in public spaces during daylight hours, is becoming increasingly precarious.

A recent incident gaining widespread attention on social media unfolded in front of Plaza Masalam in Shah Alam. Netizen @adlinakml took to Twitter to share the unsettling experience of another young woman who returned to her parked car only to discover two presumably foreign men lurking nearby.

Shockingly, they had affixed a nail to the bottom of her front bumper!

In her tweet, the girl issued a warning to others: "There are suspicious people loitering around girls’ cars at Plaza Masalam, Shah Alam. Girls, please be alert and stay safe. They attached a nail to my car."

The victim had front-parked her car near a tree, providing cover for the two men who were allegedly squatting near her front bumper. Describing the incident, she recounted, "Just now, these 2 men were creating a disturbance by my car by loitering and they wouldn’t leave, and when we didn’t want to get into the car, they hid at the front of the car so we couldn’t see them."

"When we wanted to enter the car, they got up from their hiding spot and walked towards us. However, another car entering the scene forced them to stand behind my car, revealing a nail attached to my car at the spot where they were hiding."

Some social media users questioned the motive behind attaching a nail to the car. One netizen suggested that this tactic might be used to distract the victim by getting her clothes caught on the nail, leading to potential assault when she attempts to free herself.

Fortunately, the girl managed to escape unharmed.

This incident serves as a stark reminder for women in Shah Alam to exercise caution and remain vigilant in public spaces. The community is urged to be aware of such sinister strategies that specifically target women, ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals.
