The Olympian, fresh off his bronze medal win at the Paris 2024 Olympics, presented Hairul, Hanis, and their children with something truly extraordinary: the very badminton racket he used to clinch his historic bronze medal.

As they chatted over the iconic Malaysian dish, Hairul proudly displayed the Paris 2024 shuttlecock, a symbol of both Zii Jia's achievements and the shared love for their country’s favourite food.
This isn’t the first time Lee Zii Jia has shown his fondness for nasi lemak. Upon returning to Malaysia, the Olympian wasted no time heading out with fellow badminton star Soh Wooi Yik to enjoy the national dish—a simple pleasure after the pressures of international competition.
Hairul’s TikTok video quickly went viral, amassing nearly 1 million views and over 143,000 likes as fans flocked to catch a glimpse of the Olympian’s thoughtful gesture.
But the story didn’t end there. On his Instagram, Hairul shared a behind-the-scenes look at Zii Jia’s visit to their home, where the national athlete personally delivered the gifts. The highlight of the visit was Zii Jia revealing that the racket was one of two he used during the bronze medal match, making it a piece of sporting history.
