A police officer and an elderly aunty melted ALL our hearts in a video that recently went viral on Facebook!
In the video, shared by Facebook page, Penang Kini shows a police officer assisting an old woman who was struggling to cross a two-lane road all by herself, while holding onto two walkers.

The police officer is then seen walking over to the old lady and asked if he could walk with her. But after realizing that her pace was extremely slow, he asked for her permission if he could carry her across the road, which he did!
He then lifted the aunty up and carried her all the way to the other side of the busy road, assisted by a motorcyclist who helped carry the aunty’s walkers. Onlookers can also be heard cheering for the two men in the background.

The police officer then gently put the aunty down nearby a pasar.
After finding out that the aunty was heading to the pasar to buy some food, he then handed her a RM10 note and said that he wanted to belanja the aunty lunch. That is so, so kind!
There’s also another video taken from another angle, showing a second policeman who stopped his patrol car on the side of the road to slow down other incoming vehicles, making sure that the aunty safely crossed to the other side of the road.
The incident is believed to have happened at a wet market in Penang.
POLIS DAN KOMUNITI BERPISAH TIADA A touching scene from Penang capturing two kindhearted policemen who helped an elderly lady cross the road. At the beginning of the video which was captured by members of the public, the assistance rendered by the policemen (one was helping the elderly woman while another controlled the vehicular traffic) seemed normal. But the policeman found the lady was too old to cross fast enough, he lifted her up and carried her across the road. The policeman carried her to a nearby table at the side of the Cecil Street market and when she said she was going there for a meal, the policeman reached into his pocket and handed her a RM10 note to buy a meal. This was a heartwarming scene that we felt we should share here even though the kind gesture took place in Penang. This act clearly brings home the point that policemen are there to serve and be there for the community; sometimes even going beyond the call of duty. Syabas #PDRM !

Malaysians took to the comment section to praise the kind police officers, for going above and beyond to help those in need: “Their wonderful attitude and act of kindness while helping the aunty really shows that the police really care for the safety of the people.”
The video has since garnered over 12,000 views at the time of writing.
