The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) continue to demonstrate their commitment to community welfare, not just through enforcement but with acts of kindness.

A recent TikTok video captured such a moment during Ops Selamat, where officers chose empathy over enforcement!
While conducting a routine roadblock, officers noticed an elderly man wearing a noticeably worn-out helmet. Instead of issuing a summons, they decided to gift him a brand-new helmet to promote road safety. "We often see this uncle riding around. What better way to celebrate Chinese New Year than to offer him a new helmet?" one officer shared.
The man’s old helmet, with its deteriorated lining, clearly no longer provided adequate protection. The new helmet, a leftover from a previous Ops Didik campaign in Pontian, Johor, was presented to him with a smile.
Netizens applauded the officers for their thoughtful gesture. One comment read, "It’s officers like these that restore our faith in the police." Another added, "This is what community policing should look like."
Simple acts of kindness, like this one, remind us that safety isn’t just about rules—it’s also about care and consideration within the community.
