However, in a recent TikTok live session, KA shared a deeply frustrating experience he encountered while managing donations. He revealed that some of the items sent by donors were in appalling conditions, leaving him disturbed and concerned about the safety of the victims.
During the live broadcast, KA displayed piles of clothing riddled with cockroach eggs, mould, and even rat urine. Some garments had visible rat bites, making them unsafe and unusable. He expressed his dismay, urging people to be more thoughtful when donating. “We received dirty clothes filled with cockroach eggs, mould, and rat urine. Some clothes even had rat bites. Please don’t send items like this,” he said with frustration.
KA also emphasised the potential health risks posed by these contaminated items, particularly for children. Such donations could lead to skin infections or more severe health complications, a danger flood victims should never have to face. He made it clear that donation centres are meant to collect useful and safe items, not serve as dumping grounds for unwanted belongings.
To underline the gravity of the issue, KA showed a diaper covered in mould, calling it a shocking example of negligence. He urged donors to double-check their contributions before sending them, reminding everyone of the importance of ensuring that items are in good condition. “The flood victims are currently in distress. Don’t make this a place to throw trash.
“This is dangerous, so don’t take it lightly. We had to filter all the clothes one by one. I don’t want any safety issues,” he stated.
Despite these challenges, Khairul Aming remains steadfast in his mission to assist those in need. His tireless efforts highlight not only his dedication but also the importance of responsible giving.
Let this serve as a reminder to all that while generosity is admirable, it must always be accompanied by consideration and respect for the dignity and safety of those receiving aid.
