Jungkook Thanks ARMY for Birthday Wishes and Shares Military Life Update, "I'm Doing Well"

BTS’s Jungkook took a moment to express his gratitude to ARMY while serving in the military as he celebrated his 27th birthday.

On September 1st, Jungkook reached out to fans on Weverse, thanking them for their birthday wishes and reassuring them that he’s doing well. “Thank you, ARMY, for the birthday wishes. I’m doing well,” he wrote. He also promised to finish his military duties properly, adding, “I will make sure to complete the remainder of my military service well. I hope ARMYs are also doing well during this time!”

Jungkook wasn’t the only BTS member celebrating the special day. J-Hope took to Instagram to share a sweet message for his “younger brother” Jungkook, writing, “Happy birthday to my younger brother. 

Let’s complete our service healthily.” RM also chimed in, posting a picture of Jungkook’s Golden album cover alongside a cake and heart emoji, showing his support and love.

Jungkook began his military service on December 12, 2023, alongside fellow member Jimin at the 5th Infantry Division's recruit training center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province. After completing five weeks of basic training, Jungkook continues to serve as an active-duty soldier in the 5th Infantry Division. He is expected to be discharged on June 11, 2025.

Fans continue to send their love and support, eagerly awaiting his return to the stage.
