Firefighters are usually called upon to put out flames or rescue people during floods and accidents. They are also known to help in situations such as saving drowning victims or even retrieving cats stuck in trees.
But one incident in Indonesia has caught attention for being rather unusual...

In Depok, West Java, a fish pond about two metres deep had to be drained after a man dropped his iPhone into it. The incident happened at the Villa Graha Madani housing area in Sawangan. A video uploaded online shows firefighters using a pump to remove the water from the pond.
After the pond was drained, the iPhone 15 Pro Max was successfully recovered. To everyone’s surprise, the device was still functioning and was later returned to its relieved owner.
However, though this is heartwarming, please remember that firefighters are always on high alert for emergencies, so unless it is life-threatening, let’s not try to bother them.
