Taeyong of NCT recently marked a significant milestone by commencing his mandatory military service, even sharing photos of his shaved head on his Instagram.
On April 15th, Taeyong was joined by his NCT members, including Yuta, Doyoung, Taeil, Johnny, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, and Ten, as he embarked on his military journey. Ahead of his enlistment, he shared memorable photos along with a reassuring message for fans: "I'll return safely! In good spirits! Let's do this! Our 127! Love you all."
However, two members, Mark and Haechan, encountered unforeseen obstacles. Despite their efforts to catch the earliest flight from Shanghai to Busan to bid Taeyong farewell, their plans were derailed by inclement weather, resulting in delays and an unexpected detour to Jeju before finally arriving in Seoul.
Consequently, they missed the opportunity to bid Taeyong a personal farewell. Instead, they turned to Instagram for a live broadcast from the airport, expressing their heartfelt goodbyes to Taeyong and sharing their disappointment at missing the send-off.
Haechan was even seen crying on Mark's shoulder, underscoring the emotional toll of their missed opportunity. Nonetheless, Taeyong ensured that his departure was commemorated with a group photo alongside the members present.
In an effort to uplift fans amidst the somber atmosphere, Mark and Haechan shared a video on TikTok, participating in the "Yacht" challenge, showing their fans that they are doing okay, despite the circumstances.
As Taeyong embarks on this new chapter of service to his country, fans and fellow members alike extend their heartfelt wishes for his safety and well-being during his military tenure.
