A family recently stole Malaysians’ hearts after a video of them surprising Abang mamak with a cake went viral on TikTok.

In the video, shared by TikTok user @nasikerabu77 shows a family who brought a birthday cake that said “Happy 29th Birthday, Sankar” to one of the workers at a mamak restaurant. Not only that but they also sang ‘Happy Birthday’ for him!
How cute!
With a bright smile plastered on his face, got so excited when he saw the cake and even offered the father a cute little hug, thanking the family for the very thoughtful surprise.
According to the caption, the family arranged this special surprise for Sankar because he is returning to his hometown soon, “Our favourite waiter at our favourite mamak is going back home soon,” reads the caption.
The video has since garnered over 220,000 views at the time of writing.
Malaysians took to the comment section praising the family for their kindness, “Sankar did not shed a tear, but apparently, I am the one who is crying. This is so sweet!”
