The rider, who was on his way to complete an order, noticed an elderly man struggling to breathe, showing signs of distress. Without hesitation, he chose to prioritise the man’s wellbeing over his delivery.
“I had to cancel my Grab order,” the rider explained, “and I recorded the incident, not only to help calm the man down but also to show that I didn’t cancel the order out of laziness.”
As rain poured heavily, the rider stayed by the man’s side, reassuring him that help was on its way. “I’ve called for an ambulance,” he said in the video. “It’s on its way, and I’ll stay here to make sure everything is okay.”
True to his word, the rider remained until emergency services arrived, ensuring the man received the care he needed.
The act of kindness quickly gained attention online, with netizens praising the rider for his compassion.
“People experiencing a heart attack need to get treatment quickly,” one commenter emphasised.
Another wrote, “You are such a kind-hearted person. Thank you for going out of your way to help.”
This touching incident is a reminder of the power of humanity and the importance of looking out for one another, especially in challenging times.
