Two darjah satu boys from SK Sungai Kapit in Sarawak are being commended for his effort in helping one of his classmates to use the school’s bathroom.
Their teacher, Sylvester shared the touching story on his Facebook page, saying that he was passing by the restrooms when he saw the two boys, assisting one of their friends by tucking his short back into his pants after he used the restroom.

“The meaning of true friendship. I ran into these three buddies while I was on my way to class after rehat (recess). One of the boys needed to use the bathroom, so two of his friends were helping him to unbuckle his belt,” he wrote.
The student, who Sylvester calls J, is believed to be a “special student.”
“He was a student of mine previously. He is not capable of caring for himself. He still needs diapers while being in Year One. But I think he didn’t bring his diapers today.
“But that is not the concern. I am happy that J’s friends cared enough to go out of their way to help him. I’ve also seen his friends willing to stand in line for him at the canteen to get the supplementary food (RMT) meal for him. His classmates are very attentive even though they are only 7-years-old” said Sylvester.
Sylvester added that he saw the two boys helping J to buckle his belt and tucking in his shirt, before holding his hand while they walked back to their class.
