During the lively discussion, Taeyang and Daesung from BIGBANG opened up about a surprising revelation regarding YG Entertainment's early aspirations for them, drawing comparisons to the legendary group TVXQ, which they found rather amusing.

According to the duo, there was a time when YG Entertainment, inspired by TVXQ's immense success, floated the idea of shaping BIGBANG in a similar image. However, Taeyang and Daesung couldn't help but find this suggestion somewhat ludicrous.

They expressed their bewilderment, believing that the company should have focused on nurturing their unique talents and aspirations instead of trying to emulate the success of another group that was already at its pinnacle.

But as time passed, BIGBANG too soared to great heights, becoming an integral part of South Korea's pop culture landscape.

For those unfamiliar, TVXQ, also known as Tohoshinki in Japan, is a South Korean pop duo formed by SM Entertainment, comprising U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin.

Originally a five-member group, including Hero Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun, and Xiah Junsu, TVXQ gained immense popularity with hits like "Hug" (2004) and albums like "Tri-Angle" (2004), "Rising Sun" (2005), "O-Jung.Ban.Hap." (2006), and "Mirotic" (2008).
