A post on the Xiaohongshu platform went viral when a tourist from China known as Xiao Huihui expressed her disappointment while vacationing in Malaysia.

While visiting Dataran Merdeka in Kuala Lumpur, heavy rain started pouring down; however, her assumption that the rain would stop after a while was shattered when the rain continued to pour incessantly.

"We tried to call a taxi, but none of the drivers could reach Dataran Merdeka, causing us to cancel several bookings.

"In the end, we had to run like crazy in the rain," lamented the tourist in the caption, “I really feel like I want to cry in Kuala Lumpur."

Speaking further about her vacation in Malaysia, Huihui said she almost missed her flight here besides receiving unsatisfactory service from the apartment she stayed in. She also added that the unpredictable rain prevented her from moving anywhere without using an umbrella.

As a result, she had to use e-hailing services all the time to get to places in the city.

Through one of Huihui's comments, she also claimed that a bus driver had lost her luggage while she was on the bus from Kuala Lumpur to Melaka, and she had to wait until 3 to 4 in the morning to retrieve her luggage.

Glancing at the comment section, there were netizens who said that the tourist should bring an umbrella wherever she goes in Malaysia, especially during the rainy season, "Malaysia has a tropical rainforest climate, so you need to bring an umbrella with you," said one user.

Meanwhile, a local said that Malaysians really hope for rain due to the heat, "We locals really want it to rain. If not, it's very hot as soon as it stops raining.”

It's the variations that enrich our experiences, prompting us to adapt and appreciate the differences.
