RM's Saxophone Performance Catches BTS Jin Off Guard: “I Didn't Even Realise!”

Jin, a member of the globally renowned K-pop group BTS, recently completed his mandatory military service in South Korea. Officially discharged on June 12th, Jin spoke about his experiences in his first post-service interview with Weverse Magazine.

Reflecting on his return to civilian life, Jin shared that he still feels like he's on temporary leave and expects this disorientation to last a few months. His friends reassured him that it takes time to fully adjust, often joking that he might even find himself saying, "I wanna go home," out of habit.

Jin admitted that adapting to his new schedule has been challenging but manageable due to his superstar status. Despite feeling sleepy by 10 or 11 PM, he has been working almost every day since his discharge, aiming to realign his sleep pattern with his work commitments.

The interview also touched on a memorable moment from his discharge: RM's unexpected saxophone performance of BTS's hit song "Dynamite." Initially, Jin didn't realise RM was playing the saxophone next to him and only discovered the song's identity through videos shared later.

Accustomed to hearing the saxophone during military ceremonies, Jin had assumed it was standard discharge music.

Amid the emotional whirlwind of his discharge, what truly caught Jin's attention was RM's unique fashion choice—bedazzled jorts. This amusing detail stood out to Jin more than the saxophone performance itself, highlighting the lighter side of an otherwise overwhelming day.

Jin's transition back to civilian life is ongoing, marked by a blend of nostalgia, adjustment challenges, and memorable moments shared with his fellow BTS members.

Welcome home, Jin!
