Video Of Blue Following Close Behind Ambulance Went Viral, Netizens Furious!

Following closely behind an emergency vehicle while they’re wheezing through heavy traffic is very dangerous!

And according to the Road Transport Department (JPJ), it is an offense if you fail to give way to a government vehicle such as ambulances, bomba, police or customs department vehicles. A RM300 fine will be issued for each offense, along with 8 demerit points.

Last Thursday (August 18th), a man shared on his TikTok account how a car was caught on camera following behind his ambulance closely while they wheezed around heavy traffic.

While they were at a stop, another driver can be seen leaving his car and taking a photo of the driver that had been following the ambulance. Coincidentally, a yellow ambulance is then seen approaching from the back.

The driver then had no choice but to hastily look for a “quick exit,” and he then moved into the other lane, which allowed the yellow ambulance to pass behind him.

The man who shared the video captioned it: “This is so selfish. You DO NOT follow an ambulance from behind!”

The video has been seen over 582.9 thousand times at the time of writing. Many in the comment section praised the man who went out of his way to take a photo of the driver.

“Hopefully he took a photo of his plate number as well and made a police report!” one person said.

Guys, you should NEVER follow behind an emergency vehicle as it may violate traffic norms, which can be dangerous and illegal for non-emergency vehicles.

Ambulances, bomba, police cars and other emergency vehicles are allowed to do so, trained to do it safely and they are highly visible due to their sirens and lights!
