M’sian Artist Drives from Terengganu to Penang to Paint Customer’s Late Father’s Portrait on Car – for Free!

One Malaysian family found such comfort when a talented local artist went above and beyond to help them honour their late father in the most meaningful way.

Zameer Pentbrush, an artist known for his stunning automotive artwork, came across a heartfelt comment on one of his TikTok posts. A woman had written that she and her children were planning to save up in hopes of commissioning Zameer to paint their late father’s portrait onto their car.

Without hesitation, Zameer and his team made a decision: they would do it for free, “I didn’t know her or her background,” Zameer later shared on Facebook. “But the love in her words was real. It moved me. If this portrait could bring them joy, even just a little, we wanted to do it—no strings attached.”

Travelling all the way from Terengganu to Penang, Zameer fulfilled the family’s wish with deep sincerity. He acknowledged that to others, it might have seemed like a simple painting—but to this grieving family, it was everything.

“Maybe this doesn’t mean much to us, but for a family missing their father every day, it’s priceless,” he wrote. “We didn’t ask for money—only prayers for our team’s strength and growth.”

The family’s emotional reaction said it all: they were overwhelmed with gratitude, visibly moved by the gesture that now allows them to carry a piece of their father with them wherever they go.
