Aliff Syukri Sets the Bar! "I Won’t Sing for Less than RM15,000"

Recently, he made it clear that he values his work in music, setting a minimum rate of RM15,000 for any singing engagements. Aliff says he won’t accept invitations that fall below this amount, believing that his performances come with a certain standard.

"I won’t agree to perform if I’m not paid what I feel I’m worth,” he explained. “It’s not arrogance – it’s about upholding my reputation as a quality singer.”

He further added that lower fees don’t make it worth his time and effort. “I’ve made the effort to dress up, and if the offer is only RM2,000 or RM3,000, it’s just not worth it. I’d rather host a live session on social media instead.”

Despite criticism, Aliff has released several Raya songs over the years, confidently calling himself Malaysia’s number one singer. At a recent Hi-Tea Event With Anthon’s Leather at One World Hotel, he addressed his critics directly, saying, “Do you really think I can’t sing? I didn’t turn down the invitation to perform at the concert out of arrogance. I simply deserve better pay, especially as the concert was in Penang. I’m not a funfair singer.”

For those familiar with Aliff’s music, do you think his asking rate reflects his worth?
