Let’s be honest, we’ve all forgotten to “check-out” from a place in the MySejahtera app at least once…

But it’s no big deal, as of now, no penalty will be imposed for those who fail to “check-out” on the app. However, we just found out recently that the seemingly trivial matter can still land people in an unenviable situation.
Recently, TikTok user Eyra Zaharah shared how her family holiday came to an abrupt end when her mother was not allowed to board a plane.
In the video, Eyra shared that the family were at the airport when they realised that their mother’s MySejahtera COVID-19 Risk Status showed red. Apparently, she had forgotten to press check-out for two weeks.
She also added that none of their family members thought about checking their mother’s COVID-19 Risk Status on the app.
They thought that the problem could be resolved before boarding their flight, but the staff could not help them as their mother’s name had already been called out.
The 14-seconds video has since garnered over 400,000 views and over 19,000 likes on TikTok.
In September, Health Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin introduced the check-out function on the MySejahtera app to facilitate contact tracing.
Hmm… What do you guys think of this?
