A woman was left with an enormous bill when she brought her 23 family members to a blind date to test her date's "generosity.”
However, the tactic truly backfired when her date, known as Mr. Lui did a runner.
The woman was then left to foot the bill herself at a shopping $3,100!
According to the New York Post, the date took place at a restaurant in eastern Chinese province of Zhejiang, and it had been Mr. Lui’s mother had set up the meeting after becoming concerned about her son’s lack of dating life.
In a hope to impress his date, Mr. Lui had agreed to pay for the meal, not realizing that her entire extended family would be joining them.
The woman told local media that she had wanted to test her date’s generosity before committing to a relationship.
While the 29-year-old man was happy to pay for a small portion of the meal, he insisted that the woman and her family should be paying for their share, completely understandably…
Guys, please don’t do this on a date, okay?
