A woman from Shanghai, China turned her pet rooster into a somewhat overnight internet sensation after sharing photos of its manicured talons online.
Its owner, Yi Yi recently decided to pamper her beloved pet by giving its nails some needed attention and took her rooster to a nail salon, however, the staff refused to do its nails for fear that it would affect the image of the salon among their human clients.

So, the woman ended up doing her chicken nails herself.
It took an hour, but eventually, the bird’s feet looked fabulous with colorful nail polish and decorated with sequins and beads.
According to Oddity, the manicure was actually a gift for her feathered pet as it has stayed by Yi Yi’s side throughout the last two difficult years of her life, and she wanted to show her chicken how grateful she was.
That’s sweet!

The photos went viral online, with some debating about the bird’s well-being and safety, however, Yi Yi stepped in and assured everyone that the pedicure did not affect the bird’s walking in any way that it didn’t seem bothered by it in any way.
Well, as long as they’re happy then it should be okay, right?
