Domestic violence is a grave issue not only in our country but the whole world and if gone unaddressed, it can lead to fatal consequences.
In an incident in Maharashtra, India, a woman allegedly stabbed her husband after he refused to accompany her to a relative’s wedding. The woman has now been arrested by the police.

According to Times of India, the woman attacked her husband with a knife and also threw utensils at home.
The 34-year-old husband filed a complaint against the woman in the incident which took place on November 12th.
“The couple was having tea in the evening when the woman told the complainant about the wedding. He said he would not be able to attend the wedding and asked her to go by herself,” a police officer told reporters.
The woman was enraged because her husband did not want to attend the wedding and started throwing teacups at him, which hit him on his forehead.
The police said the wife then attacked her husband with a kitchen knife.
The case is now being investigated under sections 326 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means) and 336 (rashly or negligently endangering human life) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
