Viral Video Of Factory Workers Stepping And Licking Bread Did Not Happen In Malaysia

Do you love bread biscuits, or also known by Malaysians as biskut roti kering as much as we do? It’s best when you dip it in hot tea!

However, Malaysians are now thinking twice about buying the bread and dunking them in their teh panas after a viral video exposed some of the factory workers stepping and licking the bread before packing them to be delivered to customers.

The video started out with one of the workers stepping on a tray of bread biscuits, then another worker started licking the bread before putting them into plastic packages.

According to Sinar Harian, the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) debunked the rumours and confirmed that the incident did not happen in Malaysia, and is believed to have taken place in India.

“We have found the video shared by The Daily India News on their Facebook page where they condemned the act. The video has also gone viral in India,” it said in a statement.

In the video, several factory workers were seen stepping on the bread, apart from putting the bread in their mouths before packing them to be delivered to customers.

We’re glad this didn’t happen in Malaysia. Be right back while we enjoy our roti kering and teh o panas now!
