We can recycle practically anything, from plastic bags to food cans and even old clothes, but there’s one thing we DO NOT recycle - and that’s facemasks!

A post by Seremban Page on Facebook recently saw two men hoarding a huge number of facemasks.
What concerned people were the fact that the men were seen to be drying the facemasks in the open under the sun, which brought people to the conclusion that it had previously been used by other people and washed!
The incident allegedly took place in Cheras.
Netizens were quick to suggest that the facemasks were probably used at a clinic or hospital before it was picked up for recycling, and some wondered why the authorities have not been alerted of the situation.
One person said that everyone can do their part to prevent this by tearing or cutting their facemasks after use.
