This Nasi Kandar Restaurant Was Raided By PDRM As They Did Not Follow SOPs

Malaysians are still getting used to the new normal since the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) was implemented on 10 June. With the freedom that we’ve been given and state borders are now open,

… there are so many places to lepak with friends, but don't forget that we still have to maintain at least a 1 metre distance from each other.

A nasi kandar restaurant in Penang was recently raided by PDRM as they did not follow SOPs.

In a post shared on Facebook by PenangKini, 7 people were seen sitting closely together around a table meant to only seat four, and clearly no social distancing was being practised.

The post said: “Nasi kandar restaurant in Taman Sri Serdang, Kepala Batas was raided by police officers after a few customers failed to follow SOPs. So to all customers and business owners, please look into this matter seriously.”

These SOPs may seem like it’s not a big deal, but it is very important to curb the COVID-19 infections. Remember, we don’t want another MCO!
