This Good Doggo Retrieves Mail From Perak Postman Every Day And We Think It’s Adorable!

There’s the rhetoric that dogs always seem to hate postmen and it’s actually pretty normal, as dogs are very protective of their home and their humans.

But for this Lenggong-based postman, Mohd Munir, an obedient and loyal doggo has been a regular helper on his route, as it retrieves its owners’ mail from him.

He recently shared a video of the dog taking a letter from him and posted it on his Facebook page, which immediately went viral.

He told the Malay Mail, the dog’s routine is to take the letter from him every day when he arrives at its owners’ house at Kampung Sira in Lenggong, Perak.

“The dog knows it is me whenever I come down the slope that leads to its owners’ house and will be waiting outside the gate to get the letters.”

“Sometimes, if the owner does not open the gate for the dog, it will stand on its hind legs, inside the compound to wait for me to pass the letters to it,” he added.

But the dog wasn’t always that friendly...

The 29-year-old postman said that he had never encountered such a friendly dog in his eight years as a postman, but when he first got transferred as a postman in Lenggong, the dog was initially very fierce.

“Like any dogs, it would growl at me. But after a week, it changed its attitude and started taking mail from me,” he added.

The video has since gotten over 2,000 comments from netizens saying how smart the dog is, and praising Munir for being kind to it too.

He noted that he delivers mail to the house at least three times a week, and the dog is probably used to him coming to its house, and added that he did not bribe the dog with food to get the animal to help him unlike what people have said.

The dog even “scolds” its owners if he were to directly pass the mail to them, as the dog is already used to the routine of taking letters from him. How cute!

Where can we get one of these adorable “helpers”?
