This E-Hailing Driver Drove From Melaka To Johor To Return A Passenger’s Wallet

This heart-warming, act of kindness from this Uncle has restored our faith in humanity.

A Facebook post by a Singaporean man went viral recently, of him thanking a Malaysian Grab driver for travelling over 200KM just to return a wallet he had accidentally left in the car when he was at Johor Bahru.

Carney Mak, from Singapore, realized that his wallet had gone missing when he was making payment for dinner and immediately made a report on the Grab app while heading back to Singapore.

Shortly after arriving in Singapore, Mak received a call from Sateesh saying that he will check his car for the missing wallet. He later called Mak again, to inform him that he had found the wallet at the backseat of his car.

The two then agreed to meet at a Caltex station in Johor Bahru Sentral the next day, even though Sateesh had to travel all the way from Melaka.

Sateesh told him that he had continued to pick up other passengers that day, and no one had seen the wallet or took it, which made Mak feel very lucky, he told China Press.

Mak posted in the Johor Bahru Traffic, Crime and Community Service Report (JB TRACER) Facebook group to express his gratitude towards the kind Grab driver.

Stories like this make us proud to be Malaysians, right?
