The Homeless Have Been Given Private Cubicles, Blankets And A Haircut!

We were happy when the homeless around Kuala Lumpur were given a temporary place to stay to keep them safe from COVID-19, while the MCO is in place.

Now, they have also been given cubicles for privacy and social distancing, comfy blankets to keep warm and a haircut, too!

According to the Malay Mail, they have also been tested for COVID-19, and no one has come back positive, which is great news!

Federal Minister, Tan Sri Annuar Musa says the authorities have taken further steps to ensure that their safety and hygiene are being taken care of, while they seek refuge in these centres.

Annuar Musa also shared a video on his personal Twitter account, “My order to install the cubicles for the homeless is swiftly being done. Praise to God. I will take care of the blankets after this.”

Other than that, each resident was given a haircut to ensure proper hygiene was kept. “Today the homeless will take turns getting their hair cut. They look neat! Take a look at them, before and after!”

The minister also added that the resident will be given blankets, which he said was donated by his family. “We have a supply of 550 blankets for the homeless, and we’ll send them tomorrow. I hope they don’t sleep without those blankets as it might affect their health, especially those who are older and unwell.”

“Now they can sleep more comfortably,” he added.

Folks on Twitter were full of gratitude towards the Minister and the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) for taking such great care of them.

The world is so much nicer when we treat each other with kindness! Stay safe, and stay healthy, everyone.
