A 60-year-old fisherman, Narit Suwansang was walking along the Laem Thalumphuk beach when he stumbled upon a huge chunk of what seemed to be a mineral-like object.
The weird object had a light-gray mass of jelly-like substance, which he said had washed into the beach near his home in Nakhon Si Thammarat in southern Thailand.

But, what he didn’t know was that he had found an ambergris - or simply known as whale vomit which is a highly valuable substance.
According to Coconuts Bangkok, Suwansang had returned home to get his family members’ help to carry the strange object he had found, and when he looked it up on Google, he was shocked to find out that he had just brought home a huge whale vomit.
The chunk that was found by the fisherman weighed up to 100kg, one of the heaviest discoveries ever!
It is reported that the whale vomit is worth up to ฿100 million, which is around RM12,357,382, making Suwansang an overnight millionaire!
“I went to the police station to have them acknowledge that I found this precious vomit and asked them to protect it, because I am afraid that someone will come to my home to steal it,” he told reporters.
He is now waiting to see if the vomit meets the quality standards for the highest price.
A businessman has told him that he would come to check the for quality of the vomit and is willing to pay ฿960,000 per kilogram.
Wow, that is amazing! We wonder if we can find whale vomit here in Malaysia, too?
